Once upon a time, there was a young man who wanted to become a storyteller of stars. The only written work he could publish was his suicide note.
How many times have you felt like committing suicide just because your voice is never heard or you are never visible in the eyes of the wide and vast world you inhabit? Here is a chance to make yourself heard. Write a poem, short story, essay or any other creative piece on an experience you had or an imagined that made you feel inferior or frustratingly marginal. And we will include it in our upcoming anthology: Shudrayana: Writing from Margins. We've extended the deadline due to requests from authors. Extended Deadline: 3 April 2016 BW Books invites from authors from India, creative works on the marginal experience. Your experience could be something you have been through or a story you heard from someone else. Narratives on marginal existence echoes the concurrent Indian reality of caste-based as well as class based discrimination. The quality of your works will be assessed based on the intimacy, honesty and passion in your words and nothing else. Your works could be poems, short stories and/or personal essays.
